Cliff Lee came through with a solid 9 innings as the Cleveland Indians won a
dandy at Progressive Field over the Kansas City Royals, 3 to 2.

The deciding run was scored by Cleveland in the 9th. Grady Sizemore was hit
by a pitch. Jhonny Peralta followed and he lashed a single. Peralta took
second on the throw. After an out was recorded, Ryan Garko stepped up to the
plate and he ripped a base-knock giving Cleveland the win and sending the
home town fans into a frenzy. Cleveland finished with 8 hits in the victory.

Lee(4-1) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. The loss was charged
to Gil Meche(3-2). He pitched 8 innings and surrendered 6 hits and 3 walks.
