The Toronto Bluejays nipped the Boston Redsox 6 to 5 at Fenway Park in a hard
fought contest.

David Purcey(1-0) delivered a fine performance for Toronto. He surrendered 6
hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Purcey whiffed an impressive total of
7 Boston batters and gave up 2 homeruns. Purcey got relief help from B.J.
Ryan who was excellent in relief and gained credit for his 4th save.

Bartolo Colon(0-1) was the losing pitcher. Toronto scored big getting 3 runs
off him in 2 and 2/3 innings.
