In a game for the baseball purist, Kevin Slowey(3-0) and Zack Greinke(1-3)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, Minnesota Twins finally emerged
victorious over Kansas City Royals, 4 to 0.

Slowey pitched a solid game. He surrendered 11 hits and no walks in 8 and 2/3
innings. Slowey whiffed an impressive total of 9 Kansas City batters seeing
his ERA drop from 2.14 to 1.52. Despite losing, Kansas City out-hit
Minnesota 12 to 8.

Slowey was helped out by Joe Nathan who recorded his 6th save.
