Nick Blackburn tossed a fine 3 hitter as the Minnesota Twins outscored the
Chicago (AL) Whitesox 4 to 1.

In the 4th inning Minnesota scored 2 runs when they had 3 base hits. The
highlight belonged to Brian Buscher who silenced the stadium when he smashed
a two-run homer (his 1st of the season). Chicago (AL) went down quietly in
the bottom of the 9th.

Blackburn(2-1) lasted until the end allowing 1 run for the win. Jose
Contreras(0-1) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around by Minnesota,
allowing 7 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.

The Minnesota ballclub's record now stands at 10-9. With this loss, Chicago
(AL) has a 6-4 record of late, 10-7 overall.
