Designated hitter Sammy Sosa had 4 hits and 3 RBI at Angels Stadium as the
Baltimore Orioles beat the Los Angeles(AL) Angels 7 to 3.

Sosa had a big day with his bat. He doubled in the 2nd inning, cracked a solo
homerun (his 4th of the season) in the 4th inning, delivered a base-hit
plating two runs in the 5th inning and smacked a single in the 7th inning.
Los Angeles(AL) was out-hit by Baltimore, 12 hits to 9.

Erik Bedard(5-0) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
Todd Williams was credited with his 1st save. Kevin Gregg(1-1) ended up with
the loss. He was touched for 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
