Bartolo Colon carried a no-hitter into the 7th inning and Vladimir Guerrero
went deep and had 4 RBI as the Los Angeles(AL) Angels outscored the Detroit
Tigers 9 to 1.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Guerrero. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 5th of the

the 4th inning. Los Angeles(AL) finished with 14 hits while Detroit ended up
with 4.

The winning pitcher was Colon(5-2) who allowed no runs in 7 innings. The
right-handed Colon lost his chance for a no-hitter when Chris Shelton singled
with two outs in the 7th inning. Sean Douglass(0-3) was the losing pitcher.
He allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 4 innings.
