Third baseman Dallas McPherson slammed a homerun and had 5 RBI and Jarrod
Washburn completed the game without help from the bullpen at Comerica Park
where the Los Angeles(AL) Angels beat the Detroit Tigers by the score of 10
to 2.

The Detroit fans didn't appreciate the big day McPherson had. He rifled a
three-run blast (his 1st of the season) in the 8th inning and slapped a
base-hit plating two runs in the 9th inning. Los Angeles(AL) managed 15 hits
in their victory.

The win went to Washburn(6-1) who allowed 2 runs in the game. The losing
pitcher was Jason Johnson(2-2). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and
2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.

The Los Angeles(AL) ballclub's record now stands at a division leading 22-11.
With the loss, Detroit has a record of 3-7 lately, 6-18, worst in the
division overall.
