Nook Logan had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Chris Spurling went 3 and two third strong
innings as the Detroit Tigers defeated the slumping Kansas City Royals in 11
innings by a score of 7 to 6 at Kauffman Stadium.

The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings. Detroit won the game in
the 11th inning. After two were out Placido Polanco doubled, and an error
was also committed, scoring the run. The Kansas City batters went down
meekly in the bottom of the 11th.
