Jose Contreras had a complete game as the Chicago (AL) Whitesox defeated the
Kansas City Royals 8 to 1 at Kauffman Stadium.

Contreras(3-0) looked very much in control throughout the day. He gave up
just 8 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.86 to 2.93.
Chicago (AL) had a total of 18 hits for the game.

Kyle Davies(3-2) was the losing pitcher. He allowed a few too many
