Zack Greinke went 9 solid innings at Kauffman Stadium where the Kansas City
Royals beat the Seattle Mariners 8 to 0.

Seattle fell behind quickly as the Kansas City offense came through in the
first inning when they scored 3 runs on 3 hits. That was all the offense
they were to need. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 4th inning with
no runs scored after that point.

It was the 2nd shutout of the year for Greinke(6-3). Ryan Rowland-Smith(0-3)
was given the loss. He allowed 3 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
