First baseman Daric Barton cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the Oakland A's
beat the Seattle Mariners by a score of 8 to 6.

Oakland scored all of the necessary runs in the 6th inning as they ripped
Seattle for 8 runs on 10 hits. The big moment was provided by Bobby Crosby
who disappointed the partisan crowd when he lofted a three-run 'big-fly'.
Craig Breslow earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 1st save.

The winning pitcher was Brad Ziegler(1-1) who allowed no runs in 3 and 1/3
innings. Luke French(1-4) was the loser in relief. He was knocked around
pretty good, giving up 4 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
