Jose Lopez ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Jason Vargas allowed Chris
Couch to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Seattle Mariners
beat the Texas Rangers by a score of 8 to 2.

Lopez provided the offensive punch. He lost the ball over the fence for three
runs in the 5th inning and hit a bases-empty home run in the 7th inning.
Offensively, Seattle was a juggernaut. They scored in 6 separate innings.

Vargas(4-2) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Matt Harrison(0-1)
ended up with the loss. Seattle scored big getting 5 runs off him in 4
innings.
