topped the New York (AL) Yankees by a score of 7 to 0 at Yankee
Stadium.

Garza(5-1) looked very much in control throughout the day. He didn't give up
much, just 2 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings seeing his ERA drop from
2.65 to 2.31. The right-handed Garza had his no-hit bid broken up by Mark
Teixeira who singled with nobody out in the 7th inning. Tampa Bay dominated
offensively as they scored in 6 different innings.

Andy Pettitte(2-3) was the loser. He allowed 3 homeruns in 7 innings of work.
