Ian Kinsler launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Angels Stadium as the Texas
Rangers beat the Los Angeles(AL) Angels by the count of 8 to 4.
Kinsler was a source of great heartache for the Los Angeles(AL) faithful all
day. He just kept pounding out hits! He lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run in the 1st inning, cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd inning,
slapped a base-hit in the 5th inning and ripped a single in the 7th inning.
Texas finished with 12 hits while Los Angeles(AL) ended up with 8.
Darren O'Day(2-0) allowed no runs in 4 innings, and picked up the victory. Joe
Saunders(5-3) absorbed the loss. He gave up 6 runs in 6 innings and saw his
ERA jump from 4.40 to 4.92.
'I felt great out there today,' Kinsler said, 'Maybe I should make a regular
habit of getting to bed on time!'
