The Cleveland Indians edged the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium by the
score of 2 to 1.

Jensen Lewis(1-0) slammed the door shut in an excellent relief performance.
He surrendered only 1 hit and no walks in 3 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA
from 5.40 to 3.24. Cleveland rapped out 9 hits for the afternoon.

Lewis got help from Chris Perez who was credited with his 3rd save. Dusty
Hughes(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and 1
walk in 1 inning.
