Galarraga(1-1) finally bested his Cleveland opposite, Fausto Carmona(0-2), by
the score of 3 to 1.

Detroit jumped on top to stay in the 3rd inning plating one baserunner.
Detroit won despite being out-hit by Cleveland 8 hits to 4.

Jose Valverde recorded his 2nd save. Carmona was the losing pitcher. He was
a hard-luck loser, pitching 6 innings and not allowing an earned run.
