Brett Myers went the distance at Minute Maid Park where the Houston Astros
beat the Oakland A's in 10 innings 5 to 4.

Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings. Houston won the
game in the 10th inning. Lance Berkman drew a walk. Tommy Manzella stepped
up next and he banged out a single. Humberto Quintero then delivered a
single resulting in a mighty exciting win for Houston and the 18,786 home
town fans in attendance. Oakland had 11 hits in the game while Houston had
8, but Houston had the more timely hits.

The winning pitcher was Myers(1-1) who allowed 4 runs for the game. The losing
pitcher was Craig Breslow(0-2) in relief. He surrendered 2 hits and 1 walk
in 1/3 of an inning.
