Clayton Kershaw didn't allow a hit until the 7th inning at AT&T Park where the
Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 1 to 0.

Kershaw(5-3) was simply too much for the San Francisco batters. He
surrendered only 2 hits and no walks in 9 innings. Kershaw recorded 12
strikeouts improving his ERA from 2.66 to 2.33. The left-handed Kershaw had
his no-hit bid broken up by Gregor Blanco who singled with nobody out in the
7th inning. San Francisco threatened in the 9th but Los Angeles(NL) was able
to put down the rally.

Madison Bumgarner(2-3) suffered the loss. He pitched 8 and 1/3 innings and
surrendered just 6 hits and no walks. Kershaw was pleased with his
performance. He noted, 'I had good command of all my pitches. Just as
important, my location was right on.'
