Adam Wainwright tossed a complete game as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the
Milwaukee Brewers 2 to 1 at Miller Park.

Milwaukee was unable to climb back into it after St. Louis went ahead for good
in the top of the 2nd inning scoring one runner on 2 hits. Milwaukee
threatened in the 9th but St. Louis was able to put down the rally.

Wainwright(3-2) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. The loss was
charged to Yovani Gallardo(2-1). Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 10
batters in 7 innings.

Andy Virostek was clearly disappointed after the game. 'It was a manager's
nightmare out there', he said, 'We should have had this one.'
