Alvarez was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He doubled in the 2nd inning, delivered a solo
blast in the 4th inning and blasted a solo shot in the 9th inning.
Pittsburgh had 8 hits for the afternoon.
