Clayton Kershaw racked up an impressive total of 14 strikeouts as the Los
Angeles(NL) Dodgers won a heart-stopping victory over the Washington
Nationals, 4 to 3.

Los Angeles(NL) won the game with a run in the 9th inning. Matt Kemp slapped
a one-base hit. Two outs later Ryan Mattheus stepped in and he was wild with
a pitch resulting in an exciting win for Los Angeles(NL) and a raucous
post-game celebration by the home town fans. Los Angeles(NL) rapped out 9
hits for the afternoon.

The victory was credited to Kershaw(4-3) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Mattheus(1-2) was given the loss in relief.

'Everything felt great' Kershaw said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
