Third baseman Miguel Cabrera lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and had 2 RBI
and Justin Verlander went the distance as the Detroit Tigers topped the
Minnesota Twins by a score of 10 to 1 at Target Field.
 
Verlander(2-1) pitched a solid game.  He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 2
walks in 9 innings.  Offensively, Detroit was a juggernaut.  They scored in 6
separate innings.  
 
Kevin Correia(1-1) was hit with the loss.  He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 6 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.
