Yu Darvish retired 10 batters on strikeouts at Rogers Centre as the Texas
Rangers beat the Toronto Bluejays 3 to 0.

Darvish(4-0) looked very much in control throughout the day. He allowed just
4 hits and 4 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA from 1.62 to 1.30.
Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.

Darvish got help from Neal Cotts who earned his 1st save. R.A. Dickey(2-2)
was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 10 hits and no walks in 7 and 2/3
innings.

Darvish didn't realize how many strikeouts he was racking up. When told he had
10 he was obviously surprised, 'No kidding? Man, I knew that I had a decent
total, but I didn't think I had K'd that many. Say, that's pretty good,
isn't it?'
