Geovany Soto homered and had 5 RBI as the Texas Rangers topped the Boston
Redsox by a score of 16 to 7 at Fenway Park.

The Boston fans didn't appreciate the big day Soto had. He lost the ball over
the fence for three runs in the 1st inning, stroked a one-base hit in the 3rd
inning and stroked a single resulting in a run in the 7th inning. Texas bats
were hot in the 1st inning plating 4 runs and the 7th inning which saw them
score 5 runs on 5 hits. Texas had many opportunities throughout the game and
scored in 6 separate innings.

Derek Holland(2-2) allowed 7 runs in 8 innings, and picked up the victory.
John Lackey(2-1) ended up with the loss. He allowed 5 hits and 2 walks in 2
and 1/3 innings.
