In a startling finish the Minnesota Twins staged a comeback then held on to
win over the Detroit Tigers by a score of 3 to 2 at Comerica Park.

Minnesota had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning with 2 runs using
3 hits. After an out was recorded, Oswaldo Arcia started the attack as he
doubled. Trevor Plouffe stepped into the batter's box and he doubled scoring
a single run. Justin Morneau then doubled scoring the final run of the
inning. Minnesota finished with 9 hits in the victory.

Anthony Swarzak(2-1) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Glen Perkins
was credited with his 7th save. Joaquin Benoit(0-1) suffered the loss in

Chris Couch was not very talkative after his team's tough loss. 'I'm not in
the mood for questions, but I'm sure Lee Michaels will be glad to talk about
the game as long as you have questions to ask.'
