WEB GEMS- Top 9th: Don Kelly robbed Brett Lawrie of a Homerun!

In a close game it was the Detroit Tigers 6, the Toronto Bluejays 4 at
Comerica Park.

Detroit scored 4 runs in the decisive bottom of the 3rd inning when they came
up with 5 base hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Omar Infante
who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he belted a three-run homer.
Toronto had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

Rick Porcello(1-2) allowed 3 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Porcello got relief help from Joaquin Benoit who gained credit for
his 1st save. J.A. Happ(0-1) was the losing pitcher.

'It was a tough one to lose' said John DePanicis 'We'll get them next time
out.'
