Brian Roberts had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles rallied
impressively to win in dramatic style over Boston Redsox, 7 to 6.

Baltimore had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning plating 3
runs on 3 base hits. Felix Pie led off the inning for Baltimore when he drew
a walk. Adam Jones stepped into the batter's box and he stroked a base-hit.
Roberts then slapped a single. Roberts was running on the next pitch and he
stole second. Nick Markakis stepped into the box and hit a deep fly. Melvin
Mora was next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim. Michael Aubrey stepped
up next and he stroked a single. Luke Scott struck out, unable to help the
rally. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the
lead kept changing - 5 times in all.

Danys Baez(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing 1
run. George Sherrill earned the save, his 2nd. Daniel Bard(1-1) was the
losing pitcher in relief. He gave up 2 hits and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning.

'I pin this one on my own shoulders,' Bard said. 'The bottom line is I didn't
get the job done. Our fans deserve better than this.'
