Left fielder Juan Rivera jacked one out of the ballyard and had 2 RBI as the
Los Angeles(AL) Angels defeated the Minnesota Twins by the score of 4 to 2 at
Angels Stadium.

Los Angeles(AL) jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 3rd inning scoring
2 runs. After an out was recorded, Mike Napoli opened up the rally as he
drew a walk. Howie Kendrick stepped into the batter's box and he smashed a
two-run homer. After another out, Erick Aybar came to bat and drew a walk.
Bobby Abreu got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Minnesota made
it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across.

The win went to Ervin Santana(2-1) who allowed 2 runs in 8 innings. Brian
Fuentes recorded the save, his 4th. Brian Duensing(0-2) was tagged with the
loss.

When questioned about the loss, John Thomas said, 'The fans got to see an
exciting game out there this afternoon. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it
done this time. Next time, though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the
smiles.'
