The Boston Redsox scored 4 runs in the 2nd inning and cruised to a 9 to 3
victory over the Kansas City Royals at Kauffman Stadium.

Boston drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
plating an isolated run on 3 hits. Jacoby Ellsbury laced a base-knock. Two
outs later J.D. Drew stepped in and he lined a base-hit. Kevin Youkilis then
drew a walk. David Ortiz came up and he doubled. Boston had 15 hits
overall, while Kansas City had 9.

Justin Masterson(2-0) went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory.
Luke Hochevar(0-2) ended up with the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 4 walks in
5 innings.
