Jason Kubel hit one over the fence at Kauffman Stadium where the Minnesota
Twins beat the Kansas City Royals in 11 innings 3 to 2.
 
The score was tied at 2 after nine.  Minnesota won the game in the 11th
inning.  After an out was recorded, Kubel smashed a solo-shot out of the
park.  Trevor Plouffe was next and he doubled.  Luke Hughes was next to bat,
but he was a strikeout victim.  Alexi Casilla came up and he drew a walk.
Kansas City out-hit Minnesota 16 to 10, but Minnesota ended up with more
runs.  
 
The winning pitcher was Joe Nathan(2-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. The loss was charged to Greg Holland(1-1) in relief.  He gave up 1
run and 2 hits in 1 inning.  
 
With this win, Minnesota has a 10-10 record. They have been 6-4 lately.
Kansas City has a record of 15-9 after the loss.
