The Cleveland Indians defeated the Los Angeles(AL) Angels by a score of 5 to 2
at Progressive Field.
 
Cleveland had 3 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning when they came up with
5 base hits.  The highlight belonged to Grady Sizemore who brought a roar
from the partisan Progressive Field fans when he tripled which was good for
two runs.  Cleveland banged out 9 hits on the afternoon.  
 
The win went to Fausto Carmona(1-1) who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings. Joe Smith
got the save, his 3rd.  Joel Pineiro(1-2) was the losing pitcher.  He was
knocked around by Cleveland, allowing 9 hits and 3 walks in 5 and 2/3
innings.
