The Minnesota Twins nipped the Baltimore Orioles in 10 innings 7 to 6 at
Target Field in a hard fought contest.
 
The score was tied at 6 after nine. Minnesota won it in the 10th inning.
After two were out Denard Span ripped a base-knock.  Trevor Plouffe was next
and he smacked a single.  Danny Valencia then delivered a base-hit giving
Minnesota the victory and sending the 25,111 home-town fans home happy.  Both
teams ended up with 13 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Joe Nathan(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings. Troy
Patton(1-1) took the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 run and 3 hits in 2 and
2/3 innings.
