WEB GEMS- Bot 7th: Mike Napoli blocked the plate, saving a run!

Adrian Beltre smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Texas Rangers defeated
the Cleveland Indians in 15 innings by the score of 9 to 7 at Progressive
Field.

Both teams had scored 6 runs after nine full innings. Texas came out the
victor in the 15th inning. David Murphy led off and he singled, and an error
was also committed. Elvis Andrus stepped up to the plate and he laid down a
sacrifice bunt. Mitch Moreland was a strikeout victim, unable to help out.
Ian Kinsler was up next and he clubbed a two-run home run. Michael Young
came to the plate and stroked a base-hit. Tony Sipp then picked Young off
first base. This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans,
as the lead kept changing - 5 times in all.

The victory was credited to Koji Uehara(1-1) who went 2 innings, allowing 1
run. Sipp(1-2) was hit with the loss in relief.

Texas continued their winnings ways improving their record to a division
leading 17-6. They are 8-2 in their last ten games. Cleveland has a record
of 11-10 after the loss.
