Scott Diamond went the distance and left fielder Oswaldo Arcia cracked a homer
and had 2 RBI as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Chicago (AL) Whitesox 9 to
2 at Target Field.
 
Minnesota tallied 6 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning with the help of 5
hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Arcia who brought the crowd
to their feet when he smashed a two-run homer.  Minnesota totaled 10 hits on
the afternoon.  
 
Diamond(2-4) allowed 2 runs on the game. Hector Santiago(1-1) was given the
loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 5 innings.
