Mitch Moreland cleared the bases with his grand slam as the Texas Rangers
clobbered the outmatched Detroit Tigers, 11 to 1.
 
Moreland led the offense for Texas.  He launched a rocket-shot out of the park
for a Grand Slam homerun in the 3rd inning and doubled plating a run in the
4th inning.  Texas finished with 14 hits while Detroit ended up with 6.
 
Derek Holland(3-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 1 run. Rick Porcello(1-3) was hit with the loss.  He was knocked
around pretty good, giving up 8 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
