Curtis Granderson collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI as the Detroit
Tigers defeated the ice-cold Minnesota Twins by a score of 7 to 4 at Comerica
Park.

Detroit had 3 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning with the help of 4 hits.
Don Kelly led off the inning for Detroit when he laced a base-hit. Brandon
Inge came next and he blasted a two-run home run. Josh Anderson then
doubled. Alex Avila followed and he lined a single. Ramon Santiago was next
to bat, but he was a strikeout victim. Placido Polanco contributed to the
rally and laid down a sacrifice bunt. Granderson came to the plate and drew
a walk. Minnesota was out-hit by Detroit, 15 hits to 8.

The winning pitcher was Edwin Jackson(3-1) who allowed 4 runs in 7 innings.
Jackson was helped out by Fernando Rodney who recorded his 2nd save. Kevin
Slowey(2-2) was the losing pitcher. He allowed Detroit 7 runs in 5 and 2/3
innings of work.
