Zack Greinke carried a no-hitter into the 9th inning at Kauffman Stadium where
the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins 2 to 0.

Greinke(4-2) was simply too much for the Minnesota batters. He allowed just 1
hit and 2 walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 3.62. The right-handed
Greinke had his no-hit bid broken up by Denard Span who singled with one out
in the 9th inning. Neither team managed to score after the 4th inning.

Kevin Slowey(2-3) ended up with the loss. He pitched 5 and 1/3 innings
allowing 5 hits and 1 walk.
