Right fielder Nelson Cruz went deep and had 2 RBI and Dustin Nippert pitched a
3 hitter as the Texas Rangers defeated the Toronto Bluejays by the score of 7
to 1 at Rogers Centre.

Toronto was unable to climb back into it after Texas went ahead for good in
the top of the 2nd inning when they scored 2 runs on 3 hits. That early run
support was enough for Nippert(3-1) and Texas. Texas banged out 10 hits on
the afternoon.

Brian Tallet(0-3) was charged with the loss. He was knocked around by Texas,
allowing 10 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Nippert was pleased with
his performance. He noted, 'I had good command of all my pitches. Just as
important, my location was right on.'
