Carlos Pena slammed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Matt Garza struck out 11
batters as the Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Kansas City Royals by a score of
10 to 1 at Kauffman Stadium.

The Kansas City fans didn't appreciate the big day Pena had. He hit a
bases-empty home run in the 2nd inning, clubbed a two-run home run in the 7th
inning and laced a base-knock bringing in a run in the 8th inning. Tampa Bay
rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.

The win went to Garza(4-1) who allowed 1 run in the game. Zack Greinke(3-2)
took the loss. He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 1/3
innings.

'He was really impressive today,' Greinke said of his counterpart. 'Our guys
were just swinging at air.'
