What an evening for the Texas Rangers! They shellacked the Minnesota Twins
pitching for 13 runs while Doug Mathis(1-1), with relief help from Dustin
Nippert, surrendered 3 runs to Minnesota.

Texas set the tone of the game in the first inning when they scored 5 runs on
6 hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. Texas had 18 hits
overall, while Minnesota had 8.

Nippert recorded his 1st save. Nick Blackburn(2-2) suffered the loss. Texas
now has a record of a division leading 15-5. With the loss, Minnesota has a
