Jason Hammel didn't allow a hit until the 6th inning and Adam Jones smacked 3
homeruns and had 6 RBI as the Baltimore Orioles beat the Detroit Tigers by a
score of 9 to 5.

Jones had a great day at the plate. He hit a bases-empty home run in the 5th
inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 7th inning
and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the 8th inning. Baltimore had 10 hits
for the game and Detroit had 6.

Hammel(1-1) allowed 4 runs in 7 innings, and picked up the victory. The
right-handed Hammel had his no-hit bid broken up by Austin Jackson who
singled with one out in the 6th inning. Max Scherzer(1-1) took the loss.

Jones was in a good mood after the game, 'I'm just seeing and hitting the ball
real well now. I made some adjustments last week and they are paying off.
That's what this game is about. making adjustments as the season goes along.'
