C.C. Sabathia reeled off a total of 12 strikeouts at Yankee Stadium as the New
York (AL) Yankees beat the Toronto Bluejays 5 to 4.
 
Sabathia(1-0) had a solid outing for New York (AL).  He went 8 innings
allowing 7 hits and 1 walk.  Toronto tried unsuccessfully to come back in the
9th.  
 
Rafael Soriano recorded the save, his 1st.  Brandon Morrow(0-1) was hit with
the loss.  John DePanicis was upset after the game.  'I don't like to
complain but did you see that umpires strike zone?', he said.  'Maybe they
ought to start calling the strike zone the way it's printed in the rule
book.'
