WEB GEMS- Bot 8th: Carl Crawford robbed Nolan Reimold of a Homerun!

The Boston Redsox nipped the Baltimore Orioles 4 to 3 at Camden Yards in a
hard fought contest.

Boston scored 3 runs in the decisive top of the 7th inning when they came up
with 3 base hits. After an out was recorded, Will Middlebrooks keyed the
rally when he ripped a single. Adrian Gonzalez next to the plate and he drew
a walk. Cody Ross then banged out a single. Ross took second on the throw.
Carl Crawford stepped in and he drew a walk to load the bases. Kevin
Youkilis stepped into the box and slapped a base-hit, and an error was also
committed. Baltimore threatened in the 9th but Boston was able to put down
the rally.

Clay Buchholz(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 6 innings.
Franklin Morales was credited with his 1st save. Miguel Gonzalez(0-1) was
tagged with the loss. He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings giving up 4 hits and 2
walks.

'Just one or two mistakes were all it took to beat us today' Craig Lombardi
said. 'We take these games one day at a time, but this one was hard to
take.'
