A.J. Pierzynski slammed a homerun and Chris Sale reeled off a total of 10
strikeouts as the Chicago (AL) Whitesox bested the Toronto Bluejays 9 to 1 at
Rogers Centre.
 
Sale(1-2) looked very much in control throughout the day.  He didn't allow
much, just 6 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 5.54 to
3.68.  Chicago (AL) had a total of 15 hits for the game.  
 
Brandon Morrow(0-2) suffered the loss.  He was touched for 8 hits and 2 walks
in 2 and 2/3 innings.  John DePanicis was impressed with Sale and his 10
strikeouts.  'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make contact with the
ball.'
