44,640 fans watched an exciting game at Angel Stadium.  The Los Angeles(AL)
Angels topped the Minnesota Twins by the slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.
 
Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings.  Los Angeles(AL) won
it in the 10th inning.  Mike Trout reached on an error.  Vernon Wells came
next and he laced a one-base hit.  After an out was recorded, Peter Bourjos
then laced a base-hit making Los Angeles(AL) victorious to the delight of the
the home town crowd.  Both teams totaled 8 hits on the afternoon.  
 
The win went to Ernesto Frieri(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Glen Perkins(0-2) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He pitched 2/3 of an
inning and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
