Adam Dunn rocketed 2 homeruns and scored 3 times and Jake Peavy hurled a 2
hitter at US Cellular Field as the Chicago (AL) Whitesox beat the Boston
Redsox by the count of 7 to 1.

The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Dunn. He delivered a solo blast in the 1st inning, laced a
single in the 3rd inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 7th inning.
Chicago (AL) finished with 13 hits in the victory.

The victory was credited to Peavy(1-1) who went the distance, allowing 1 run.
The losing pitcher was Josh Beckett(0-2). He surrended 4 homeruns in his 8
innings.

Peavy was obviously very pleased with his performance in the aftermath of the
game, 'It was just one of those games where everything worked. My arm felt
great, heck, I could have pitched another two or three innings. I only hope
that I can do it again next time out!'
