Cody Ross connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI as the Boston Redsox topped
the Baltimore Orioles in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4 at Camden
Yards.
 
The score was knotted at 4 after nine innings.  Boston won the game in the
10th inning.  Carl Crawford ripped a solo home run.  One out later, Jarrod
Saltalamacchia was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out.  Pedro
Ciriaco then smacked a single.  Jacoby Ellsbury was up next and he laced a
one-base hit.  Scott Podsednik got his chance to keep things going, but he
went down on strikes.  Boston out-hit Baltimore for the game, 12 hits to 7.
 
The winning pitcher was Scott Atchison(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3
innings. Troy Patton(0-1) took the loss in relief.  He pitched 4 innings
allowing 4 hits and 1 walk.
