Orioles tallied 4 runs in the 2nd inning and topped the Oakland A's by the
slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.

Erik Bedard(4-0) was solid if not spectacular. He went 5 innings surrendering
5 hits and 2 walks. Bedard mowed down 6 Oakland batters. Baltimore took
care of Oakland with no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.

Bedard got help from B.J. Ryan who earned his 8th save. The loss was charged
to Joe Blanton(3-4). He allowed 7 hits and 1 walk in 7 and 2/3 innings.
