WEB GEMS- Top 4th: Vernon Wells robbed Alex Rodriguez of a Homerun!

Gregg Zaun blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Justin Speier went 4 strong
innings as the Toronto Bluejays defeated the New York (AL) Yankees by the
score of 12 to 7 at Rogers Centre.

Zaun had a great day at the plate. He laced a base-hit knocking in a run in
the 2nd inning, doubled which plated a run in the 3rd inning, ripped a solo
home run in the 5th inning and smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 3rd of
the season) in the 6th inning. Vinnie Chulk(2-0) was helped out by Speier
who pitched a perfect ninth and recorded his 1st save.

Scott Proctor(0-2) was tagged with the loss in relief. He was touched for 3
homeruns in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.

'I felt great out there today' Zaun said. 'I was seeing the ball perfectly,
and I was right on it with my swing.
