Shortstop Jhonny Peralta ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Jacobs Field where
the Cleveland Indians beat the struggling Detroit Tigers by the score of 5 to
1.

Peralta made sure the Cleveland fans enjoyed themselves. He belted a
three-run homer in the 1st inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 4th
of the season) in the 3rd inning. Cleveland and Detroit each finished the
afternoon with 6 hits.

Cliff Lee(3-2) was the winner allowing 1 run in 6 and 1/3 innings. Mike
Maroth(0-3) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 6 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings.
